After graduating from University, I decided I wanted a career where I could control my income. I was looking for a company that offered high earning potential from day one and a clear progression pathway. I relocated from London to join the growing jjFOX Bristol team in 2007 and I have not looked back.
It was clear within my first few weeks in the business that this was a company that invested heavily in their people. Not only was I set a structured and ongoing training programme but I received support from fellow colleagues and managers to enable me to be successful. With that success came promotions, 5 star company trips overseas, countless champagne lunches and a Rolex amongst other things. During my time here I have also had the opportunity to participate in charitable work and (through money raised by SmithCorp) I have spent time on a project in Ghana helping to build a new school in a small remote village.
Through hard work and commitment I have steadily progressed through the business and have recently been given the privilege to launch the first London Office for SmithCorp, managing a new team in the capital and allowing me to move back to my hometown.
I firmly believe your career here is within your own hands. You are essentially given your own business to run and grow from the day you start. It takes ambition, commitment and a lot of hard work, but none of it goes unnoticed and you get highly rewarded for your efforts.

I moved from South Africa to the UK, in 2016 to become a Primary school teacher. After three years it became clear to me that this wasn’t the career I wanted or needed. However whilst still working as a contract teacher I became aware of recruitment consultants. They seemed comparatively to live such glamorous lives and I knew that this should be my next chapter.
After a recommendation from a friend, I was set up with an interview for jjFOX in their London office. I knew straight away from the interview, that I had made the right choice. I was excited about my new life in London and really motivated to get started and making money
The first year was tough (tougher than I expected) but the support and training I received from the very beginning enabled me to keep going. Eventually I found my feet, became a Senior Consultant and really started to see all the great rewards. This in turn motivated me to achieve even greater success within the Company. Since I started I have taken part in exciting experiences such as: attending our Charity balls, Skydiving, weekends away and hilarious team nights out in London. Most of all I have enjoyed working in a team and achieving my goals.
This isn’t the easiest of careers to choose. It can be very challenging at times but you don’t need a previous background in sales to be a success. Hard work and application can get you there and in my opinion you get out what you put in.

I joined SmithCorp in May 2015 as a Business graduate with no significant sales experience and immediately bought in to the fast-paced office environment.
From day one I received specialist training from experienced consultants that has helped me progress through the ranks, become the top biller of my department and start training as a mentor for new consultants.
As well as earning some good money, I have enjoyed two skiing holidays in the Alps, trips to the Algarve and to Alicante along with 10 lunch clubs – all in my first 3 years!
I couldn’t have anticipated finding a job like this in Cornwall that offers the earning potential and professional development you may expect in a major city. I would encourage anyone looking to build a sales career to apply.

I joined SmithCorp as a trainee recruitment consultant having previously only ever worked in the hospitality sector since finishing University. I moved into sales because I wanted a job where I could work hard and be rewarded for it while still being able to live my own life.
Within 18 months of joining the company I was promoted to senior consultant and I now manage a small division while continuing to run my own desk and consistently being amongst some of the top billers in the company.
The thing I love about SmithCorp is the fact you are given full responsibility for running your own business from day one and the opportunity to earn commission from the outset, meaning you get out what you put in.
Since joining I have been on incentive trips to Portugal, Las Vegas and Italy and also a life- changing opportunity to take part in a Charity trip to Nepal to help rebuild a school which was damaged by earthquakes.

I joined SmithCorp in April 2014, working for Edgware Associates. I had been working in logistics for 5 years where I had no progression opportunities and no control over my income. I knew I wanted a career where the earning potential was uncapped and where I could help better my living.
I had no previous recruitment experience but the company provides a high standard training programme to help you progress quickly and within the first 18 to 24 months I had doubled my salary as well as travelled to Vegas and Portugal with the company.Working here has put me in a stable and fortunate financial situation where I have been able to move to Truro and purchase my first property.
I am currently on one of the pathways to management and I have started to manage my own team now.
The opportunities with SmithCorp are endless and they are a great company to work for. I have met some great lifelong friends and learnt a lot about business along the way. I’m looking forward to what the future holds.
